If you want to get your adrenaline pumping, then you can’t ignore one key factor: fear. Without it, you can’t expect any true thrills.

Haunted House

Maybe that’s why Halloween is such a well-loved holiday. Between the costumes and the scares, it’s just never-ending, heart-pounding fun. And for Uniontown residents, there’s no better place to celebrate than Haunted Hills Estates.

Spookiest Little House on the Hill

From a distance, the 100-acre Uniontown farm known as Haunted Hills Estates might appear somewhat unassuming. In broad daylight, you’d never imagine the horrors that await as the sun goes down. But when it does, you can hear the screams from a half-mile off.

Though it’s only been open to the public for 14 years, legend has it that paranormal activity has been buzzing around Haunted Hills Estates for far longer.

This Year’s Halloween Attractions

There’s something about Haunted Hills Estates at night that’s just a little unnerving, even long after the lights have been shut off, the actors have gone home, and the gates have been locked. However, during the Halloween season (September through November), the team really pulls out all the stops.

During the 2017 season, visitors will have three terrifying attractions to choose from:

  • Legends of Torment: Indoors, 30 minutes long
  • The Doll Factory: Indoors, 30 minutes long
  • The Voodoo Forest: Outdoors, 60 minutes long

Pumpkins

Visitors should be warned: All these attractions are fully interactive, which means the monsters and ghouls will touch you. So, they’re not for the faint of heart!

Haunted Hills Estates Ticketing Information

When you visit Haunted Hills Estates, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll have to wait in a line or two, which is why it’s best to arrive just before dark.

Ticket prices are as follows:

  • $15 for one attraction
  • $20 for two attractions
  • $25 for three attractions

Visitors can also purchase a $15 Spirit Pass, which will allow them to jump right to the front of all attraction lines for shorter wait times.

Make Your Halloween Screams Come True

When that time of the season comes around, you don’t want to be a wet blanket, do you? This Halloween, it’s time to live a little and get scared at Haunted Hills Estates!

2017 Nissan Maxima | Tri-Star Nissan | Uniontown, PA

Is a family sedan in your soon-to-be future? Then we have some exciting news. Now, you can get a brand-new 2017 Nissan Maxima. So what exactly is the exciting part? Well, as you know, family sedans aren't known for being the most lavish or standout. But the Maxima delivers both of these things, which makes it a step above the typical family sedan, but without the luxury brand price. To learn more about what makes the newest Maxima such a refined, stylish and worthwhile choice, continue reading.

Top Safety Scores

From solid safety content and features to top crash test scores, the 2017 Nissan Maxima is one of the safest sedans on the market. This marks another reason it is such a popular choice for a family car. Standard safety gear includes all of the necessities:

  • Antilock brakes

  • Traction and stability control

  • Front-seat side airbags

  • Side curtain airbags

  • Rearview camera

There are many advanced safety systems available, too, which helps increase on-road protection. Depending on trim level, the Maxima will be equipped with:

  • Blind-spot monitoring alert

  • Rear cross-traffic alert

  • Forward-collision warning and mitigation system with automatic braking

  • 360-degree parking camera system with moving object detection

  • Driver drowsiness monitor

  • NissanConnect system with automatic collision notification, remote starting, emergency calling and stolen vehicle locating

Aside from the plethora of safety content provided in the 2017 Nissan Maxima, its scores in crash testing are impeccable. In testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), for instance, the Maxima received the highest possible score in:

  • Moderate- and small-overlap frontal-offset impact protection

  • Side impact protection

  • Roof strength

  • Whiplash protection

When testing the Maxima's forward-collision mitigation system, the IIHS was so impressed, it awarded it with an off-the-charts score of “Superior”.

A Luxury Interior

No, the 2017 Maxima doesn't have the brand name of a luxury car. But with one look at its interior, you'll believe it does. Inside the Maxima sedan, you'll be ensconced in quality materials and soft-touch surfaces. Equipped with Nissan's highly-noted “Zero Gravity” seats, the level of comfort in the Maxima is incredible, supporting and contouring to all the right places.

What you'll also find when inside the Maxima is its thoughtful storage features. One, in particular, is the bin located in front of the shifter that contains two USB ports, enough space for even the largest smartphone, plus a slot that allows you to mount your phone vertically so you can see messages as they pop up.

The interior of the 2017 Maxima boasts the latest and greatest technology, too, like Apple CarPlay. This integrated app system makes it possible to control a selection of apps, like texting messaging, via voice controls and Nissan's user-friendly touchscreen, which uses a redundant knob controller that's similar to those found in many luxury-brand vehicles.

A Feature-Filled Lineup

There's nothing better than getting to choose between a fresh selection of trim levels from a brand-new lineup – especially one as feature-filled as the Maximas. For 2017, the Maxima features a five-trim lineup. From the entry-level S to the top-level Platinum, you'll find an array of content to please your specific needs. The Maxima's base S trim, for example, provides an excellent combination of basic and upscale content, like automatic headlights, foglights, keyless entry and ignition, power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Tech features are a nice touch to the base S trim with its lengthy list of items that includes:

  • 8” touchscreen display

  • Navigation system

  • Rearview camera

  • Bluetooth connectivity

  • Apple CarPlay

  • 2 USB ports

  • 8-speaker sound system with satellite radio, HD radio and 6-CD changer

If you want something a bit more exciting in terms of driver engagement and content, then the Maxima's SR trim is an excellent choice. The SR offers sports appeal with everything from larger 19-inch wheels and summer performance tires to sport-tuned suspension and paddle shifters that engage simulated gear ratios. The SR is also equipped with Active Ride Control, which uses the brakes to limit body motions over bumps, and Active Trace control, which uses targeted braking to keep the vehicle on its intended path.

For the most pampering experience behind the wheel, the Maxima's top-level Platinum is the ultimate trim. With it comes:

  • LED headlights

  • Power-adjustable steering wheel

  • Driver memory settings

  • Premium diamond-quilted leather upholstery

  • Automatic wipers

  • Power rear sunshade
